Rainfall extinguishes almost all fires in the country

During the last 24 hours, due to rainfall in almost the entire territory of the Republic of Albania, all fires have been extinguished. One fire remains active in the village of Spatharë, Vëndreshë administrative unit, Skrapar Municipality.

Extinguished fires are in:

* The village of Plan i Bardhë and the Allushi mountain, Klos municipality. As a result, about 120 ha were burned and about 350 ha of bushes, pines and oaks were burned.

* Zall Gjoçaj village, Derjan administrative unit, Mat municipality. As a result, about 20 ha were burned and about 499 ha of bushes, pines and beech trees were burned.

* The village of Gur i Bardhë, administrative unit of Xibër, municipality of Klos.

* The village of Gurë-Lurë, Lurë administrative unit, Dibër municipality. As a result, about 55 ha were burned and about 580 ha of bushes, pines and oaks were burned.

* The place called "Qafa e Buallit", Bulqizë administrative unit, where despite the work of the forces on the ground and intervention from the air by helicopter, about 22 ha were burned and about 35 ha of bushes, pine trees and pastures were burned.

Based on the forecasts of the Institute of Geosciences, light rainfall is expected today in the regions of Kukës, Dibër, Elbasan, Berat and Korçë, and locally light in other regions.

Regarding fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected in the Fier region today. A "MODERATE" risk level is expected in the Elbasan, Berat, Korça, Vlora and Gjirokastër regions. A "LOW" risk level is expected in the Lezha, Durrës and Tirana regions.
