Massive floods in the country/ Agron Duka: Here are the two reasons that brought about the disaster

The chairman of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, Agron Duka, spoke this evening about the massive floods in the country. In a television appearance, Duka said that everything came about because canals and dams were not maintained.

"The whole issue is that it seems that the canals have not been maintained and we have floods from time to time and even bigger floods. Those canals that used to be at least cleaned, now they are no longer cleaned. The second is the hydropower plants, where Lezha for example requires technical solutions, because they were once built in low areas and a mechanical lift is required. They were built at very low levels, causing them not to work or be at full capacity. If the canal is straight and lower, it draws water", said Duka. /CNA
