A recent article published by the prestigious magazine "Forbes" has ranked Albania in the last place for the cleanliness of the sea waters. The first place is held by Croatia as the country with the cleanest sea water.

The European Environment Agency (EEA), in collaboration with the European Commission, has just released its latest report.

Countries are ranked based on the cleanliness of their swimming waters using data collected in rigorous annual assessments that monitor bacterial contaminants.

Among the countries included in the analysis, Albania ranks last for the cleanliness of the sea water, showing that the responsible authorities have not demonstrated a serious commitment to maintaining high standards for water quality.

While they say that they will make Albania the tourism champion in the region, they do not care that the waters remain untouched. The beauties that the country offers are not few, the possibilities for tourism to fill the coffers of income as well, but the management that is done to this sector, still leaves something to be desired.
