The British media "The Sun" has recently published an article regarding the action of SPAK, which hit the gang that trafficked weapons from Albania to Great Britain, where 3 Albanians were arrested and 3 other people are wanted. 

According to this media, the weapons seized for England were trafficked by a group in Tropoja with connections to London. 

"A large quantity of weapons destined for Britain's street gangs has been seized after police busted a gun-running gang. Glock rapid-fire pistols and a Kalashnikov rifle were among 25 firearms found. The weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were to send to the Albanian gangs in Britain, which are waging a war on the ground for drugs and prostitution in London", writes "The Sun". 

The article notes that since the late 1990s, gangs from Tropoja have been active in the Albanian communities in the East and South East London neighborhoods of Woolwich, Stratford and Barking.

Mobsters involved in prostitution, cocaine smuggling and cannabis farms are suspected to increase their gun power to warn off rivals.

"The weapons are secured in Turkey and on the Serbian illegal market and could have been used by anyone - including terrorists. The van, a white Mercedes registered in Britain, was to travel by ferry to the Italian port of Ancona, a two-day drive from Great Britain," the article continued. /CNA
