The "Henley" Passport Index has revealed which is the most powerful passport in the world for 2024.
It is the passport that allows its citizens to travel visa-free to 195 destinations around the world, and it is Singapore's passport that has been named the most powerful travel document.
After Singapore, the most influential passports in the world in terms of freedom of travel are those of Japan, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. All of these are ranked second, enabling visa-free travel to 192 destinations.
In third place are South Korea, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, which enable travel to 191 countries without visas.
In fourth place come the passports of Britain, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland with 190 destinations.
Australia and Portugal share fifth place with 189 destinations. In sixth place are Greece and Poland with 188 destinations. The USA has fallen to eighth place with 186 destinations./ CNA
