Lawyer from Shkodra dies after feeling unwell during court session

The Court of Appeal, through a notice distributed to the media, announced that the lawyer from Shkodra, Gjovalin Ulndreaj, lost his life this Tuesday at "QSUT".

He was rushed to the hospital after feeling unwell during a court hearing and unfortunately passed away unexpectedly, with the causes of death still unclear.

Announcement of the Court of Appeal:

Today, on 28.01.2025, at around 12:00, in one of the trial halls of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, a criminal trial was taking place, in which the lawyer Mr. Gjovalin Ulndreaj, a member of the Shkodra Bar Association, participated as a defense attorney.

During the trial, the lawyer exhibited serious health problems, leading to the immediate interruption of the process and the provision of first aid by the persons present, until the arrival of the QSUNT Tirana Emergency Service.

Following communication with the lawyer's family, it was announced that, unfortunately, the lawyer had passed away in the hospital.

The judicial body of this Court and the administrative staff, appreciating the contribution to the process of delivering justice, expressed their most sincere condolences to the relatives of the late lawyer Gjovalin Ulndreaj. /CNA
