Tributes to Archbishop Anastasios/ Police take measures

The Tirana Local Police Directorate has taken all necessary measures to guarantee the smooth conduct of the tributes to Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos, which will be held at the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral.

In implementation of these measures, from 15:00 on 28.01.2025 to 14:00 on 30.01.2025, with the exception of emergency vehicles and State Police vehicles, the circulation of all other vehicles will be prohibited on the following road axes: 

- the “Ibrahim Rugova” road segment, from the Bank of Albania to the junction with the Supreme Court. The diversion of vehicles for this blocked segment will be done on Barricade Street, “Zogu i Parë” Boulevard, “Mine Peza” Street and Kavajës Street;

- Kavaja Street, from the intersection with Bogdan Street to the intersection with “Ibrahim Rugova” Street;

- There will also be a partial blockage on “Ded Gjo Luli” Street. The diversion for this blocked road will be from Selvië Street. 

Also, the exit from "Myslym Shyri" street will be diverted towards "Gjergj Fishta" boulevard.

Tirana Police requests the understanding of vehicle drivers, to respect and implement the restrictive measures. Police services will be planned with service on all road axes, to monitor the movement of vehicles, in order to facilitate their movement and avoid traffic./ CNA
