Two inspectors and a deputy commissioner at the Pogradec border police have been suspended from duty. The three police officers are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Forgery of documents and Abuse of office."

Thus, the Police Supervision Agency implemented the Prosecutor's Office's order to execute the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Korça that imposed the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or function".

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan-Korçë Region) has implemented the order of the Prosecutor's Office for the execution of the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Korçë, which has imposed the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or function", against 3 police officers, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Forgery of documents" and "Abuse of office".

The court's decision came based on materials referred by the Korça Regional Directorate of the AMP, after reasonable suspicions that these police officers, although they found on 28.12.2024 citizens EP and LE conducting prohibited fishing in Lake Ohrid, through actions and inactions, they favored the illegal activity of these citizens, with suspicions of profit. /CNA
