Minister of Agriculture meets with farmers in Çërrava/ Here's

The Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, held a meeting with farmers and representatives of the medicinal plant business in the village of Çërrava, Pogradec, where the problems of the agricultural sector, support schemes, compensation for flood damage, as well as measures for the further development of agriculture and livestock were discussed.

During the meeting, the minister focused on the importance of the Pogradec and Korça areas in agricultural production, emphasizing that farmers' interest in benefiting from national support schemes has been high.

"Then, today we were with representatives of medicinal plants, that is, businesses, but also farmers and various others who cultivate not only medicinal plants, but also other agricultural products, to discuss together and talk about all the problems related to this area, but also to the subsidies that we have to the fund that we have already allocated and the deadlines have been met where a very considerable number have applied in this area. Because we have a potential agricultural area, where it has an important voice in the economic territory in this of Pogradec, but also in the other area, which is the Korça area", said Salla.

The minister also spoke about the damage caused by the floods of recent months, announcing that the government has completed legal procedures and that affected farmers will be compensated as soon as the relevant normative act is approved.

"The government has carried out all the necessary procedures for the floods in the entire territory of Albania, but also in Maliq, Pogradec, Korça and all in the entire territory where we have had problems in the floods or natural disasters that were not only in Albania, but also in other countries in the region. We have carried out all the necessary legal procedures. We are now in the final phase where, together with the Civil Emergencies and the Ministry of Defense, we will move on to the procedure of their compensation. So, we are waiting for a normative act that we will pass very soon, I believe, we will also pass through support or what we have promised to Albanian farmers to not leave them alone and to compensate them", said the minister.

Salla recalled that a similar procedure was followed last year, when compensation was approved by normative act at the end of the year and distributed during January.

"The moment we create, we will make the normative act, we will also make the rewards, as we have done with other compensations, as it was for money last year, which we passed with the December normative act and in January they received all the compensations we had with a considerable amount ," he added.

Një pjesë e rëndësishme e deklaratës së ministrit iu kushtua mbështetjes për blegtorinë. Ai tha se ulja e pragut për përfitimin nga skema kombëtare ka sjellë numrin më të lartë të aplikimeve të regjistruar ndonjëherë në këtë sektor, ndërsa për herë të parë janë krijuar edhe mekanizma të posaçëm mbështetjeje për të rinjtë dhe për kompensimin e fermerëve që tregtojnë prodhimet e tyre.

“Tek numri i aplikimeve në blegtori, unë mund të them që skema kombëtare ka qenë një nga skemat e blegtorisë sepse kemi numrin më të lartë të aplikantëve ndonjëherë në blegtori. Sepse ne kemi ulur numrin e përfituesve, pra të pragut, nga 100 krerë në 50 krerë, nga 10 krerë për lopë në 5 krerë, që ishte kërkesë e vetë fermerëve në mënyrë që ata të bëheshin pjesë, edhe fermerët e vegjël që kishin një numër më të vogël, le të themi, në blegtorinë e tyre. Dhe është një numër shumë i lartë, përveç këtyre ka edhe shumë të rinj që kanë aplikuar në blegtori, që janë masat ku ne kemi vënë për herë të parë një shifër prej 10.000 euro është grant për t’i mbështetur të rinjtë dhe 10%-shin që ne tashmë jemi në fazën ku fermerët janë duke depozituar edhe bërë procedurat pranë tatimeve, në mënyrë që të marrin 10% të kompensimit të çdo fature që ata kanë shitur gjatë kësaj periudhe. Dua të theksoj që sipas të dhënave ndaj tatimeve deri në këto momente, ne flasim në një shifër prej 13.8 milionë eurosh, që është një shifër e konsiderueshme në mbështetje të bujqësisë dhe sektorit bujqësor për t’i mbështetur për herë të parë për atë çfarë punojnë. Pra, ai që punon tokën vlerësohet drejtpërdrejt, pa procedura dhe pa asnjë burokraci mund të themi, apo afate të tejzgjatura. Po për çdo gjashtë muaj, siç ne e kemi vendosur në korrik dhe në dhjetor, do të depozitojnë pranë tatimeve dhe do të marrin 10%-shin në këmbim. Por kjo shifër është një shifër e konsiderueshme dhe presim që të jetë më e lartë në gjashtëmujorin tjetër të dytë për shkak të interesit apo pagesave që kanë marrë dhe do të marrin deri tani në një shifër prej 13.8 milionë eurosh”, tha më tej.

Në fund të deklaratës së tij, ministri u ndal edhe te përdorimi i teknologjisë në bujqësi. Ai tha se dronët e Ministrisë së Bujqësisë janë angazhuar për monitorimin dhe trajtimin e problematikave në terren, përfshirë rastet e dëmtimeve nga karkaleci dhe sëmundje të tjera, ndërsa ky projekt pritet të zgjerohet në të gjithë vendin.

It is an opportunity that we will develop even more, because we will also get other drones where we will cover the entire territory for problems of this nature or concerns that connect us to other areas, such as the Myzeqe area, or Lushnja, or the entire Fier district. And this is support that we provide through our employees that we have in the territory, whether in the Korça district but also throughout Albania" , added the minister.

The meeting in Çërrava focused on the challenges faced by farmers in the area, while Minister Andis Salla guaranteed that support for the agricultural sector will continue through national schemes, compensation for damages from natural disasters and investments in technology, with the aim of increasing production and facilitating the work of farmers across the country. /CNA
