"The meeting of the Civil Defense Commission in Korca district is in the wake of the meetings we have organized. A series of calls have also been launched that come as innovations for the application of projects from local government units, municipalities to be financed by the Civil Emergencies program at the Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Defense Agency, which mainly consist in the prevention of natural disasters, but also in their management and rehabilitation.

There is also the purchase of specialized equipment and tools directly for Civil Emergencies, just as the evaluation of projects for the rehabilitation of dams, for bridges and for all other needs of Civil Emergencies in local government units will continue," said Çako.

Further, Çako said that the district of Korça is one of the districts with an average risk in relation to natural disasters of fires, as well as a number of other related problems such as the risks of blocking the road from snow and landslides and avalanches.
