This Tuesday, the Customs Manual for Passengers was presented for the first time at "Mother Teresa" Airport.

This manual aims to serve as a clear and practical guide for all citizens entering or leaving Albania.

The manual is structured in two parts:

1. For travelers entering the territory of the Republic of Albania;

2. For travelers leaving the territory of the Republic of Albania;

Each of these sections includes information related to customs clearance of personal goods, prohibited products, declaration of currency and valuables, protection of cultural heritage, keeping pets, as well as any rules that help travelers plan their trips in accordance with the law.

The content for travelers entering the territory of the Republic of Albania relates to general information in the following areas: Consumer goods and products, Currency, Animals, Protected species, Cultural heritage, Weapons, Means of transport, Medicines, Counterfeit goods and Customs controls.

The content for travelers leaving the territory of the Republic of Albania provides information regarding: Goods to be taken with you during departure, Export of excise products, Goods prohibited for export, Declaration of currency upon exit, Pets, Medicines and medications, and Rules for air border crossing.

The purpose of this manual is to help travelers avoid mistakes, respect obligations, and pass through Albanian customs points with ease and transparency.
