"Christoforidhi was the first to introduce the term Abetare"/

Linguist Natasha Shuteriqi was one of today's guests on Prime Minister Edi Rama's "Flasim" podcast.

Co-author of the research book "The Evolution of the Primers in Elbasan", Shuteriqi spoke about her work and the history of the Primer as a whole.

The researcher said that this is a study that requires the integration of several fields related to linguistics, where the most important remains the inclusion of pedagogy.

Shuteriqi announced that in a period of time from 1867 to 2024, 9 Albanian language primers were written.

Focusing on the origins of the Primer and the first linguists, Shuteriqi said that Kostandin Kristoforidhi was the first to introduce the term primer, while linguist Aleksandër Xhuvani was the first to introduce a primer with elements of psycholinguistics.
