The minister, Olta Xhaçka, spoke at the UN Security Council meeting in the context of peace and stability in Ukraine.

The minister underlined that Albania welcomes the decision of the French Presidency of the SC, to keep the focus on the issue of accountability.

Xhaçka emphasized that Russia's war against Ukraine reminds us of the dark days of fascism and Stalinism.

Russia's actions are a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter Russia has chosen to repeatedly openly ignore the ruling of the International Court of Justice. Russia's war against Ukraine reminds us of the dark days of fascism and Stalinism. Thousands of people have paid with their lives for Vladimir Putin's chosen war.
