Another testimony given by the director of Peqin prison has been discredited.

In his testimony a few days ago, Kamber Hoxha stated that Peqin prison had been turned into a hotel and that he had been sending letters for a long time about the malfunctioning of the monitoring system.

"For some time now, I have been sending letters about the non-functioning of the monitoring system. Peqin prison had been converted into a hotel. There were many deficiencies in the operation", said the director of Peqin prison.

The court of Elbasan has left in prison the 11 officials arrested after the incident in Peqin prison where Sokol Mjacaj killed Arben Lleshi and injured Indrit Shaqa inside the prison.

While only one police officer was left under house arrest because he has a paralyzed child.

We recall that on Friday, December 15, Sokol Mjacaj killed the convict Arben Lleshi and injured his roommate, Indrit Shaqja.

For this serious incident, 12 police officers have been detained in the High Security prison, among them the director of Peqin prison./ CNA
