Journalist Klodiana Lala provided details this evening regarding the summons sent to the leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, to appear before SPAK. Lala said that Berisha was summoned as a person aware of the events that occurred on January 21, 2011.

The journalist said that Berisha will also be questioned about another issue related to January 21, which according to her is the non-implementation of the orders of the then Prosecutor General to stop the leadership chain of the Republic Guard.

"He has been summoned as a person aware of the events that occurred on January 21. Berisha will have to provide explanations for everything that happened inside the prime minister's office building. This is an investigation that focuses on the people who ordered the shooting of the protesters, not the executioners."

Another issue that Mr. Berisha will be questioned about is why he did not implement the orders of the General Prosecutor to stop the leadership chain of the Republic Guard. Berisha will have to provide explanations why the orders were not implemented and kept all the guards inside the premises of the Prime Minister's Office.
