The former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, has left GJKKO after the end of the hearing on the "Gërdeci" file.

Mediu brought charges against the Special Prosecutor's Office, as he declared that there is no witness to accuse him.

He repeated once again that he has not committed any act contrary to the law.

"The first comment is that I want to thank the media for following this process. Witnesses have been called by the prosecution to testify. Today, the representative, the head of the legal directorate pointed out that every act issued by the minister was in accordance with the law.

Regarding the summoning of witnesses, this is the obligation of the prosecution, to make it possible for them to be present. If they have no questions about the witnesses themselves, they should be willing to listen to our questions.

I think that if there are shortcomings in how the prosecution acted, it is not the defense's responsibility. They should have done it with the witnesses called by the prosecution. I think it is the company that had the contract. The company has made the transactions that have made this process. I have waited 17 years, I am ready to be asked about anything", said the former minister./ CNA
