Berisha under 'house arrest'/ OPGJ operatives go to his apartment

Judicial Police officers went this Friday morning near the apartment of the head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

They have gone to check if Berisha is at home after the Special Court has ordered the "house arrest" measure for the head of the DP for the charge of passive corruption. 

On December 30, the Special Court, through a decision bearing the signature of judge Irena Gjoka, imposed the security measure of "house arrest" for Berisha on the charge of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials" for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex. 

According to the decision, Berisha must not leave the apartment and must not communicate with other people except those who live in the same house with him.

Berisha's lawyers have appealed the decision given by judge Gjoka./CNA
