A few days ago, the competition for the registration of candidates for the post of Director General of the State Police was officially opened.

It is learned that another name that will run is Shemsi Prençi.

It was Prençi himself who confirmed this news, as he informed that he sent the application and the necessary documents by mail.

The current head of the Elbasan District, Ilir Proda, the acting head of the State Police, Sokol Bizhga, and the current head of the Durrës District, Skënder Hita, have also been mentioned as candidates for the post of the General Director of the State Police.

So far, only Prençi has confirmed his candidacy.

Who is Shemsi Prençi?

Shemsi Prençi has headed several directorates in the Ministry of Order, where he has served for many years.

He holds the rank of First Officer and has directed the Police of Fier, Elbasan, Dibra, the Operational mobile forces.

In 2009, Prençi was transferred from the director of the Fier Police to the director of the Special Forces.

Shemsi Prençi has been the director of Civil Emergencies for several years with Edi Rama as prime minister.

He also held the post of security advisor to the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta.

He ran in the primaries of Sali Berisha for mayor in Kamez, as well as for deputy of LSI in Durrës./ CNA
