Today, a session was held at the GJKKO on the "Gërdeci" case, where former minister Fatmir Mediu was also present.

In a statement, Mediu said that even in dictatorial countries the minister is not asked about the caliber of weapons and not anymore in NATO countries.

"A minister cannot give an opinion on calibres. The opinion is signed by the Chief of the General Staff, the senior military advisor to the Prime Minister and the President. The minister cannot have the authority to ask him. It would not be correct and he would not be able to do it. It cannot question acts that are programs such as dismantling or defense practices such as Albania's membership in NATO", said Mediu./ CNA
