The lawyer of the leader of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta, Kujtim Cakrani, following his statements after the decision given today by SPAK against Meta, said that
Cakrani said that next week a request will be submitted to the Constitutional Court regarding security measures,
According to Cakran, if no response is received, they will turn to the Strasbourg Court.
"He has been in custody for over 7 months and the prosecution must ask the court every two months to verify the security measure and the prosecution has not done so. We have not made the request and we will reflect this later in the Strasbourg Court. The Special Prosecution has extended the deadlines for the investigations for 6 months. This is the second time they have done so. They say we are waiting for evidence, an expert report from Meta's former mother-in-law, that Mr. Meta has a connection. Next week we will submit the request to the Constitutional Court regarding the security measures, and if we do not receive an answer we will turn to Strasbourg", said Cakrani. /CNA
