The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, in an interview for the French public television, "FRANCE24", said that he does not believe that Albania will be hindered by Greece in the integration process, since there is a strategic relationship between the two countries, and if this happens, then the issue will it was serious. Referring to the "Beleri" case, Rama said that he was an Albanian candidate of Greek origin and so was his opponent in these elections.

"I don't want to get into this controversy. I honestly do not believe that this blockage will last, because it would be serious. On the other hand, it is only a matter of justice. We have strategic relations with Athens, and on the other hand, when you talk about the Greek minority, I want to clarify, as you said, the candidate was an Albanian of Greek origin, and his opponent in the election was also an Albanian of Greek origin. Then this cannot be an issue of the Greek minority , - said Rama.

Earlier last week, "Euroactiv" reported that after problems with the "Beleri" case, Greece has not signed the letter of the 27 member states addressed to the EU Commission on the opening of the first five chapters of the membership process.

"Euractiv" emphasized that Athens is putting pressure on Tirana on some issues related to the rule of law, such as the case of Beler and the implementation of some laws related to the Greek minority in Albania, such as property rights./ CNA
