Under accusations of abuse/ AMP suspends 4 police officers from duty

The Police Supervision Agency, Fier - Berat Region, has executed the Decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Berat, which has imposed personal security measures of a prohibitive nature "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" provided for in Article 242 of the Criminal Procedure Code against four police officers.

The four employees are suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Abuse of office" provided for in Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

Inspector AS, with the duty of Service Corps in the Urban and Interurban Traffic Section, at the Berat DVP

Inspector MD, with the duty of Service Corps in the Urban and Interurban Traffic Section, at the Berat Traffic Police Department

Inspector AQ, with the duty of Service Corps in the Urban and Interurban Traffic Section, at the DVP Berat

Inspector KG, acting as General Patrol Officer at the Berat Police Station.

The assignment of security measures was made possible after proactive investigative actions carried out by AMP in cooperation with the Berat General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office, which resulted in these police officers, while exercising their functional duties, through actions and inactions in violation of the law, penalized/favored drivers found to be in violation of the Highway Code or not. /CNA
