AKU finally reacts, confirms Muçollari's denunciations

The member of the PD leadership, Grigels Muçollari, is in a denunciation campaign these days, related to the lack of food security.

He has brought to the attention of the public concrete cases where the government, through the National Food Agency, has failed to do its job, allowing dangerous products on the market that end up among consumers.

One of these cases is that of metal chip cookies. On February 29, the RASFF system of the European Commission gave the alarm about a quantity of cookies that entered Albania, harmful, with metal fragments.

AKU has made a reaction, where it accepts this moment. And, moreover, it gives even more right to the concern raised by Muçollari, as he says that after the controls they did not find the cookies either in the merchant's warehouses or on the shelves where they are sold.

So, where did these cookies go? These cookies turn out to be sold out. With this reaction, AKU denounces itself and increases its responsibility before the law.

It has failed to perform its duty, which is to effectively communicate with the public in cases where there is an alert, and to stop the sale of the product in question.

Asked by the editors, Muçollari said that he will continue with other denunciations these days, which bring to light the failure of the government and AKU to provide food safety and protect consumers.

Muçollari says that PD sees this as a matter of national security, and will not only demand responsibility before the law for those who have not performed their duty, but he will commit himself to the maximum to offer a solution once and for all to this element that is so important important to the life and health of Albanians./ CNA
