AKMC: 11 fires this Tuesday, 4 of them active

According to data reported to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies at AKMC, from 09:00 to 20:30, date 08.07.2025, 15 fires were reported.
Of these, 11 fires have been extinguished and 4 fires are active.

After continuous work of the operational forces in the field, it was possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:

1. Village Mnelë e Madhe, administrative unit Vig-Mnelë, municipality Vau-Dejës
2. Village Karahaxhë, administrative unit Finiq, municipality Finiq
3. Neighborhood No. 6, municipality Kavajë.
4. Village Stajkë, administrative unit Bushat, municipality Vau-Dejës.
5. Porodinë village, Bulgarec Center administrative unit, Korçë municipality
6. In the Gur i Bardhë neighborhood, Dimal administrative unit, Dimal municipality,
7. Radësh village, Skrapar Center administrative unit, Skrapar municipality
8. Togëz village, Librazhd Center administrative unit, Librazhd municipality
9. Mbrostar village, Mbrostar Ura administrative unit, Fier municipality
10. Katundi i Ri village, Mamurras administrative unit, Kurbin municipality
11. Mamëz village, Kolsh administrative unit, Kukës municipality

Currently, the fires are active in:

Vlorë Region
1. The place called “Sotiran”, between the villages of Tragjas and Dukat, Orikum administrative unit, Vlorë municipality. The fire continues to be active in an area with bushes and thorns at the height of the mountain. The Cougar Helicopter and 40 military forces were deployed to support the situation. The fire does not pose a risk to residential areas

Berat Region
2. In the village of Zgërbonjë, administrative unit of Vërtop, municipality of Poliçan, work has continued to extinguish the fire that broke out on 05.07.2025. Today, 30 MZSH officers with 7 firefighting vehicles from the municipalities of Poliçan, Berat and Skrapar, and 25 municipal forces were deployed at the scene. 20 troops from the Armed Forces also came to support the forces. Today, work was done to extinguish the logs within the perimeter covered by the fire. The fire source continues to remain active but does not pose a risk to residential areas at the moment.

Dibër Region
3. In the place called "Fusha e Peladhisë", administrative unit of Fushë Bulqizë, municipality of Bulqizë, work continues to extinguish the fire in an area with bushes and rare vegetation. The fire is developing at low intensity and does not pose a risk of spreading to forested areas. The fire is developing in 3 different foci at a distance from each other. During the day, 2 firefighting vehicles of the Bulqizë MZSH with 11 personnel, 7 Forest Service forces and 3 volunteers were deployed on the ground. The area burned by the fire is estimated at around 17 ha.

4. In the place called "Lake of Flowers", part of the Lura National Park, Lura administrative unit, Dibër municipality, work has continued to extinguish the fire that broke out on 07.07.2025 in a forest area with pine trees and meadows. Due to the intensity of the wind, the fire has taken on large proportions, risking the involvement of a large forest area of ??the Lura National Park. At the scene, today, 6 employees of the Administration of Protected Areas, 5 forces from the administrative unit and 25 volunteers (residents of the area) were deployed. The Cougar helicopter also came to help. The fire does not pose a threat to residential areas at the moment. /CNA
