Adriana Kalaja: There are new facts and incriminating evidence related to Judge

Lawyer Adriana Kalaja spoke this evening regarding the completion of the verifications for the special judge, Irena Gjoka.

In a statement to Syri TV, Kalaja stated that there are new facts and serious incriminating evidence related to the judge. She emphasized that according to the laws, a magistrate with a criminal conviction cannot be part of the system.

"Not only are there new facts, there is serious incriminating evidence related to this judge and my concern, and I believe that of all people inside or outside the Democratic Party, various lawyers, various prosecutors, other judges, those who respect the rule of law, do not have a problem with Irena with three surnames, but with the figure and phenomenon that Irena with three surnames represents.

So, today we are at the moment when the General Prosecutor's Office closed the investigations regarding the request we had made in relation to the purity of the figure of this judge, where specifically we had requested an investigation regarding a criminal conviction, an investigation regarding two expulsions given in the Greek state. An investigation regarding how she gave birth to her son in the Italian state, while she was serving a 10-year sentence of ban on entry to the Schengen countries.

Although this investigation lasted excessively long, that is, beyond all the deadlines provided for by the law, it began in April 2024 and as was made public by the media, unfortunately in fact, I, as the initiator of that work, was not informed by the General Prosecutor's Office, it turned out that in addition to the document that arrived in September 2025, the fact of the authenticity of the decision was confirmed, so. We have dealt with it.

We have addressed this several times and, faced with this, we have all received a negative response from the judge with three surnames, who claimed that she had never been stopped at the border, that she had never been expelled or deported, and above all, that she had never been given a criminal decision by the Greek state.

"Even refusing to declare constitutes a criminal offense in itself. So, today we do not raise the claim because many Albanians may have had problems with visas, with detention, but the law on the organization and functioning of the special structure, that is, law 95 of 2016, but also law 96 on the status of magistrates, explicitly stipulate that if a judge, a magistrate has a criminal conviction, he cannot be part of the system ," said Kalaja. /CNA
