About 40% of Albanians think that corruption is the main threat to security in Albania.
While 27% think that corruption is the second main threat to security.
These are the findings of a study conducted by the Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance funded by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
"We have asked whether corruption has increased or decreased in the last 5 years and in fact most say it has increased. We asked if it will decrease in the coming years, most have said no and think that corruption has decreased in Albania ", says the author of the survey, Arjan Dyrmishi.
The third main threat to security is organized crime with 11.2%, while 19.2 think this phenomenon is the second biggest risk. Arjan Dyrmishi also sees this phenomenon as related to corruption.
"We asked, do you think that organized crime uses corruption as a tool, citizens say yes. "Corruption is perceived as a major threat," he said.
According to this poll, 30% of Albanians think that the war with neighboring countries is the second serious threat to security./euronews
