The Ministry of Defense has provided information on the situation of fires in the country.
According to the data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies, until this afternoon, 20 fires have been identified throughout the country. After an uninterrupted work of operational forces in the field, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish 6 of them, while 14 foci continue to remain active.
In the National Park of Prespa in Malin e Thata, work continues to extinguish the fire that takes place in a difficult terrain with easily combustible vegetation. Romanian C-27J Spartan aircraft, forces from the municipalities of Pogradec, Pustec and the Regional Administration of Protected Areas were engaged in today's operation.
The forces on the ground were assisted by 103 members of the Armed Forces and 10 vehicles.

In the village of Rajë and Geghysen, in the municipality of Tropoja, the fire has been contained, but monitoring by the municipal forces continues. It does not pose a risk of spread.
In Bješkë e Bollotek, near the Gashi River, the hearth is active in beech and black pine forests. Efforts continue to isolate the hearth, which grew in size due to the terrain.
In Tërnovë village, Bulqizë municipality, the intensity of the fire has decreased, but monitoring continues. The fire is under control and does not pose a risk of spreading.
In Luzni village of Dibër municipality, the fire has been isolated and is being kept under control by the forces of the Regional Administration of Protected Areas.
In the village of Ujanik, in the municipality of Skrapar, the fire is active due to the rocky terrain and the slope, which makes it extremely difficult for forces to intervene from the ground. The outbreak is developing in the direction of the "Holy Place", where a fire engine is stationed.
Above the village of Sotire, in Upper Dropulli, the fire is active, but with low intensity. 15 troops and 1 FA vehicle went to support the forces.
A fire pit in the direction of the village of Sopik, of the Pogon administrative unit, whose flames have arrived from Greek territory, is being monitored.
In the village of Sinanaj, the fire on a forest area does not pose a risk of spreading. The hearth in the village of Reshepaj, in the municipality of Selenicë, is not dangerous.
In the place called "Syri i Kaltër" in the village of Theth, in the municipality of Shkodër, the operational forces are working to avoid the spread of the fire.
In the place called "Bjeshket e Gjurajve", in the municipality of Shkodra, the fire is taking place in a forest area on steep terrain and difficult to operate. The fire is being monitored by the local structures of Shkodër municipality. It does not pose a risk to housing.
The fire in the place called "Guri i Nänshtegut", in the village of Theth, is being monitored by operational and volunteer forces.
Under the coordination of the National Agency of Civil Protection, the Armed Forces have strengthened the capacities of the local government teams in the battle for the isolation of outbreaks in difficult terrains.
