Partizan has made a surprise move, firing coach Oltijon Kërnaja just three weeks before the end of the regular season.
The decision taken by the presidency came as a "bolt in the open sky" as the team was preparing for the next challenge against Flamurtari. The loss in the derby against Tirana proved fatal for the technician, becoming the second coach to be dismissed from the Reds' bench within this edition.
Through an official statement, the club explained that the termination of the cooperation came as a result of disappointing results that have compromised the season's objectives, the most important of which remains participation in the "Final Four" and qualification for Europe.
For the remainder of the championship, the team will not seek a new name, but will be led by the current technical staff, where sports director Agim Ibraimi will also have a key role.
This move clearly shows the tense situation at Partizan, where the pressure for results has reached its peak in the final meters of the race.
