Tuchel reacts to sacking: I'm devastated it's over

German Thomas Tuchel breaks his silence after his dismissal from Chelsea and he does it through social networks. In the message written on his account, Tuchel emphasizes that he did not expect to be sacked.

“This is one of the most difficult communications I have ever had to write and one I hoped not to do for many years. I am devastated that my journey at Chelsea has come to an end. This is the club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally.

A big thank you to all the staff, players and fans who made me feel welcome from the start. The pride and joy I felt helping the team win the Champions League and Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am honored to have been part of this club's history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart."
