Huge figures for referees, it is revealed how much they will be paid in matches

Referees have one of the most important roles during World Cup matches. But how much will they be paid for the challenges they will referee at the 2022 World Cup?

The head referee will be paid around 5,000 euros per game in the group stage and 10,000 for each game he officiates in the play-offs. In the case of the linesmen and the fourth referee of each match, their winnings are half, i.e. 2500 and 5000 each at each stage.

VAR is another important element of the World Cup. The technology has already been applied in Russia and appears again in Qatar. Their referees will earn €3,000 per group stage match and €5,000 for each match they take part in once they pass that limit.
