The death of the famous former goalkeeper of the National Team, Duka: Albanian football today lost one of the greatest legends in history

Today, at the age of 94, one of the biggest legends in the history of football, Sulejman Maliqati, the famous former goalkeeper of the Albanian National Team and Partizan, passed away.

Meanwhile, recently through a post on the official website, the president of the ALF, Armand Duka, has expressed his sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Duke's post: 

Today, Albanian football lost one of the greatest legends of its history. The great Sulejman Maliqati passed away today at the age of 94, leaving behind a rich and precious legacy for all football fans.

The famous former goalkeeper of the National Team in the years 1950-1964, Maliqati was an indisputable icon and an example of inspiration for entire generations of athletes.

In addition to being decorated with the highest state titles and with many trophies won on the field, Maliqati was also an excellent person, a good friend and a rare and valuable personality in social life with great contributions especially in the world of football.

He expressed his most sincere condolences to his family and friends. His name has already taken place in the pantheon of the greatest players in the history of Albanian football.
