Muriqi towards returning to Turkey

Vedat Muriqi is close to a return to Turkish football, this time not to Fenerbahçe, but to Besiktas.

The black and white club from Istanbul has begun official talks for the transfer of the Kosovo striker, who has left his mark in the Super League during his experiences with Rizespor and Fenerbahçe.

After a spell in Serie A and most recently in La Liga with Mallorca, where he scored 35 goals in 118 matches, Muriqi is open to a return to Turkey.

Besiktas see him as an important reinforcement to build a team that is competitive in the European arena. The club wants to form an offensive unit with Muriqi and Leverkusen's Patrik Schick. The player himself has publicly expressed his desire to play again in Turkey, where his family feels comfortable.

Mallorca is willing to release him for 5 million euros, a figure that is not a problem for the Turkish club.
