More than a dream/ Qualifying for the World Cup guarantees Albania millions of dollars

Today's match against Poland in the play-off phase is not only an opportunity to write sports history, but also a "gold mine" for Albanian football.

If the Rossoneri overcome the Polish hurdle and then triumph in the final against the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden pair, the financial benefits from FIFA will be staggering.

Just to secure a ticket to the US, Canada and Mexico, the Albanian Football Federation would immediately collect $1.5 million for logistical preparations. However, the truly impressive figure comes from participation: each qualifying national team guarantees a bonus of $9 million.

This fund would serve as a powerful infusion for the infrastructure and development of football in the country. The further the tournament progresses, the more the figures increase, reaching up to $50 million for the winner of the trophy.
