The Italian club changes its coach, the former player of Milan becomes official

It is now official: Salvatore Bocchetti is the new coach of Verona. The Italian club has issued a press release about this move to the bench.

"Hellas Verona announces that the technical management of the first team has been entrusted to Mr. Salvatore Bocchetti.

Born in Naples on November 30, 1986, Bocchetti ended his long career as a footballer in 2021, during which he played for nine years in the Russian league, first for Rubin Kazan and then for Spartak Moscow, and in Italy, in the Serie A and B championships with Lanciano, Ascoli, Frosinone, Genoa, Milan, Verona and Pescara.

After his career as a footballer, last season he collaborated with coach Igor Tudor in charge of the yellow and blue first team, ending the Serie A 2021/22 championship in ninth place with 53 points.

In the current season, Bocchetti continued his journey with Verona, leading the "Primavera" team in this start of the championship, with which he has so far scored seven points: 1 win, 4 draws and 2 losses..."

Bochetti replaces Gabrielle Cioffi, who was fired for poor results. The Veronese are currently ranked 18th with only five points.
