Loan with obligation to buy, Chiesa one step away from Serie A

Juventus are working on the return of Federico Chiesa, but the situation depends mainly on developments at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Bianconeri are ready to make an offer to Liverpool, but there has been no response from England yet. Coach Arne Slot may accept Chiesa's departure, but only after having Mohamed Salah available.

The Egyptian is currently involved with his national team in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will delay the decision by at least a week. The operation is expected to be a loan with an obligation to buy.

Juventus want the final purchase to be linked to a minimum number of appearances. An agreement will then have to be reached on the player's salary.
