Pronarët e Liverpool, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) kanë vendosur zyrtarisht klubin në shitje. Kompania amerikane ka përgatitur një dosje prezantuese për palët e interesuara në blerjen e aksioneve, siç raportohet nga ?The Athletic?. Drejtuesit e klubit kanë kërkuar ndihmën e bankave Goldman Sachs dhe JP Morgan për asistimi e procesit të shitjes.

FSG refuzuan një ofertë prej 3.5 miliardë eurosh nga lindja e mesme vitin e kaluar. Në një deklaratë për shtyp e FSG për The Athletic thuhet:
