Coach Rolando Maran began his adventure in Albania with two losses in the June friendlies. After the defeat against Luxembourg, the red and black coach said that he saw readiness in the players for these two matches.

Maran also revealed two reasons that, according to him, may have influenced these losses for Albania.

Maran stated that in these friendly matches, he focused on building the team of the future.

"We need to focus on some specific things. Starting from here, we can work on those. We tried to try some things. Maybe we weren't precise about the result. Albania will return to the field in September, for the Nations League matches.
