Barcelona wins by 7 goals, Newcastle sees "nightmares"

Barcelona have secured a spectacular qualification for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a convincing victory at home.

The Catalans destroyed Newcastle with a comprehensive 7-2 score, after drawing the first leg in England.

Although the first half ended with a narrow 3-2 scoreline, with the Spaniards scoring through Raphinha, Bernal and Lamine Yamal, the second half was an absolute domination. Anthony Elanga kept the visitors' hopes alive with a brace, but the home side's attacking power came to the fore after the break.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice, while Raphinha and Fermin Lopez completed the scoring at the Camp Nou. This success sends Hansi Flick's men into the top eight of Europe with a clear message of strength.

Barcelona is now waiting to learn their next opponent, which will come from the Tottenham-Atletico Madrid pair.
