Barcelona's complaint, UEFA "hits" the Catalans before the duel with Atletico

UEFA has intervened to guarantee the technical conditions of the pitch at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium following concerns expressed by Barcelona.

Coach Hansi Flick expressed reservations about the quality of the grass during the training session, requesting an official inspection before the second leg of the quarter-final.

At the coordination meeting, UEFA officials confirmed that the grass length will be 26 millimeters, in compliance with international regulations. It was also agreed that the pitch will be watered before the start of play and during half-time to ensure speed in the circulation of the ball.

These measures are intended to avoid any technical obstacles in a challenge where Barcelona must overturn the 2-0 scoreline of the first leg. The Catalan club considers the condition of the green carpet a key factor for their style of play.
