Farmers from Kavaja, Vlora, Berati, Fieri and Lushnja have set off with their tractors towards the Savra roundabout, on the Lushnje-Fier highway.
They previously warned that they would block the Lushnje-Fier highway with their tractors in a demonstration of the injustice being done to them by the dairy industry, subsidy schemes, and a number of institutions that do not exercise authority according to the law.
The farmers were holding placards with the slogans "We want subsidies like Europe" and "Respect local production".
