Jona Leka completed her studies in Medicine 11 years ago, specializing in Cardiology in the neighboring country, Italy. For several years now, she has been serving in the southern region as a cardiologist. "When I think about it, it's been 11 years since I finished my medical studies. I've been a cardiologist for 4 years. My desire has always been to be a doctor. I managed to achieve it with a lot of work and effort, but it definitely went in the direction I wanted. In medicine, I explored different fields, before choosing cardiology and finding myself in this specialty. Completing my studies was accompanied by work experiences in many cities. I managed to have very good knowledge of epidemiology. I'm in Gjirokastra, but I'm blessed, as I've gained a lot while working in several hospitals. I worked for 1 year in a row for a very important donation", says Leka.

Doctor Leka, during her years of service to citizens, has had several moments that she singles out as challenges, which today, for her, are completely achieved. Such has been the Covid-19 period.

"The pandemic is the most complicated and difficult period, with many challenges, a lot of work and results that we would all like to be, many times higher, and I believe that during that period we have succeeded," said the doctor.
