The southeast of the country continues to be one of the most sought-after destinations for foreign tourists, whose number has been increasing in recent years. According to data, about 85% of visitors who have chosen Korça and the surrounding areas are foreigners.

This growth is also related to the fact that a large portion of tour operators have signed contracts with local and international agencies, guaranteeing a stable flow of visitors.

Tourists themselves say they discovered Korça through the internet and particularly appreciate the traditional food, affordable prices, the hospitality of the residents, and the opportunities offered by green tourism.

Some citizens express their great admiration for the prices, the landscape, and the people.

"We are from the Czech Republic, we liked coming here to spend a night. We are going to the mountains and there are a lot of mountains here. The prices are very low."

Tour operators confirm the high interest of foreign tourists. According to Klaus Pronjar, reservations have started a year ago, reflecting a significant increase in demand. He emphasizes that Korça remains a destination with historical and cultural values, which always offers something to discover.

"Reservations with foreign tourists have started last year, there has been a high influx. Korça has something to offer, a historical place from which people always have something to discover," said Klaus Pronjari - Tourist operator.

In addition to Korça, there is also an influx of reservations in Pogradec and in tourist villages such as Tushemishti, Lini, Voskopoja and Dardhë. Unlike other years, this season there is also interest in other areas such as Erseka, the villages of Kolonjë, as well as tourist movements in Devoll, Maliq and Pustec, extending tourism throughout the southeast of the country./ Euronews
