Toxicologist Alban Haxhi has raised the alarm by showing that the chemicals contained in children's toys can affect the lungs, liver and brain.

Invited to the show "Goodmorning Albanians" on Euronews, the taxicologist said that the constituent elements of plastic, such as phthalates or heavy minerals that give softness and elasticity to some toys, are very harmful and dangerous for the health of your children.

"The more elastic the toy, the more harmful it is, depending on the plasticity, the greater the presence of these dangerous minerals. Sludge, for example, contains phenols, benzium compounds that are toxic. The consequences start from allergic damage, and if they contain mercury, they can affect the child's liver, lungs and nervous system," the toxicologist said./ CNA.al
