The inclusion of students in education remains one of the main challenges at the local level. This issue, along with leadership in schools, was the focus of the educational conference on the topic "Quality and Challenges of Education at the Local Level"
"Inclusion continues to be a challenge. It is important for us to continue to provide educational services to all students equally. We have leadership problems. We have leadership that is very motivating and promoting for the parent community, but also for the management staff. We also have leadership that needs improvement during their work. This is the purpose of this conference. We do not aim to idealize any achievement or success, of course they also have their value. This conference serves to face all the challenges that we encounter in our daily lives", said Brisela Kadija, Director of the Shkodra Secondary Education Office.

For his part, the rector of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", Tonin Gjuraj, focused on the challenges of higher education and called on high school graduates to make the University of Shkodra their priority choice for continuing their studies.
"I urge high school graduates to consider 'Luigj Gurakuqi' University as their first choice because we will not disappoint them. Beyond the challenges and difficulties we face, we are making great efforts to diversify the image of this institution, to diversify and expand our academic offer. In October we will have the program in English because internationalization is one of the main pillars of the opening and expansion of this institution. The amendment to the law on higher education also aims to expand university autonomy and universities will have greater opportunities for academic offers," said Tonin Gjuraj, rector of UNISHK.

The conference was also attended by representatives of local government and regional institutions, who emphasized the importance of continued support, especially in terms of student safety and well-being.
"The school safety package is based on Albanian legislation, which clearly expresses the obligation of public institutions for the physical safety of students, but also for the safety of mental health. The very high integration of technology into social life, but also into educational life, has had a negative impact on the dependence created by students on technological tools," said the prefect of Shkodër District, Holta Duda.
"Education is the foundation on which the future of a society is built. It is not simply a learning process, but a shared mission to form responsible, professional and capable citizens. At the local level, we directly feel the need and responsibility to create the best possible conditions for this mission to be realized as best as possible. Faced with the challenges of the time, technological changes, demographic movements, the need for inclusion and equality in education, we are required to be as far-sighted and cooperative as possible," said Edmond Ndou, mayor of Shkodër Region./ CNA
