The VI edition of "Mokra n'Fest" / Brings attention to the

Mokra n'Fest, the festival of the Mokra region, which focuses on promoting the monuments of nature, culture, but also the traditions of the area, once again in its 6th edition brought to attention precisely the customs, history, and hospitality of Mokra.

"Stone Bridge", a first-category cultural monument as part of the "Egnatia" road once traversed by merchant caravans, now gathers residents, visitors and tourists who are amazed by its grandeur, but also by what is exhibited and revealed during the festival, from meat dishes, dough, and local produce.

" The Mokra Festival is celebrated for the third time near the Golik Bridge, it is a first-category cultural monument, dating back to the 17th century. It is a very important bridge on the Egnatia road branch that at that time passed along Mokra, it promotes tourism, promotes the cultural monuments that Mokra has in abundance. Compared to other years, there is a fairly large number of people, thanks to the promotion that has been made ," said Ledjan Zeqollari, director of Tourism and Cultural Heritage at the Municipality of Pogradec.

Mokra and the Mokrars are especially known for the health they drink to their friends with a toast. The plum brandy of this area knows no gender, as the toast is raised by both men and women.

" Mokra for traditions, for handicrafts, for pies, meat on skewers, beans. Kulaçi, bread with dough, sodanik, with corn flour. Men and women drink raki, make toasts ," said a resident.

Year after year, Mokra n'Fest gathers more local and foreign visitors from all Albanian cities and villages from south to north, as the good reputation of the Mokrars is great.

" I came because I really like Mokra, happy Mokra Festival. I'm from Peshkopia, my first time in Mokra. Very nice ," said one participant.

" From Romania. I have my father-in-law here. I have my Albanian husband. I have two years. I like it. I will come back ," said a Romanian tourist.

Mokra n'Fest was accompanied by traditional music from the area, folk dances and men's duet dances. The evening also featured aerial challenges and performances by the brave Fiona Rushiti's group, to conclude the celebration with a camping trip for nature enthusiasts.

More than 4 thousand people present "in ancient Mokra with a touch of wisdom and a spirit of nobility", as Dritëro Agolli wrote.
