This is Blerti Vejuka, who has turned his idea of ??pedaling across the lake into reality.

From morning until late evening, special bicycles can be seen moving on the surface of the lake, offering a completely different way to enjoy the landscape. This traditional Shkodran vehicle has returned with a novelty, becoming the city's newest tourist attraction.

" This is the traditional part that Shkodra is known for, so bicycles. This made the idea come more beautifully to have a pedal on Lake Shkodra, among the largest lakes in the Balkans. Those who love bicycles when they saw them on the lake liked it a lot. Tourists were amazed because it was a novelty for them too and they said that they had never seen this bicycle mechanism on water anywhere. To realize this idea, I applied to the grant scheme for young people and came out the winner. Even on the way to opening the business, I had assistance ," said the administrator of "Bicycles on Water", Blerti Vejuka.

 

The Director of Strategic Planning at the Municipality of Shkodra, Stela Mardusha, said that such ideas enrich tourism and city life.

 

" We are monitoring the "Bicycle in the Water" project, which was applied within the framework of the grant scheme in support of young people. The project has taken the right direction and is being promoted and sought after. The bicycle has now gone beyond the city, being also on the lake ," said Mardusha.

 

The water bike awaits visitors every day, departing from Shiroka to explore the lake in more depth through pedaling./ CNA
