"Today a kilometer-sized grain was placed"/ Bjerre: Albania should continue working, Denmark will do its best for enlargement

Denmark's Minister of European Affairs, Marie Bjerre, said that Albania's reforms have shown that the country sees its future in the European Union.

Bjerre said that a milestone has been set today and that Denmark will do its utmost to move the enlargement forward.

The Danish minister said that Albania must continue its work.

"Today's conference proves that enlargement is moving forward and shows that real reforms bring real results. Albania has shown that it sees its future in Europe, you are delivering results and you deserve to be recognized for these. There is still a lot of work to do, but today is a milestone and the direction is clear."

"Denmark will do its best to advance enlargement, it remains essential that candidate countries implement reforms and meet the Copenhagen criteria. Albania, keep up the good work," declared Bjerre./ CNA
