Election participation/ Çuçi: Socialists came out to vote

The political leader of the Socialist Party for the Vlora region, Bledi Çuçi, spoke today after Brunilda Mersini's victory.

Focusing on participation in the elections, Çuçi said that it depended on many phenomena, but the socialists voted.

Further, Çuçi expressed that he is happy that Vlora will have a female mayor.

 

"No , I don't think so. You also saw from the percentage of votes that it was the socialists who came out to vote. The participation depended on many phenomena, which were partial elections, without councilors, elections that did not have a strong opponent. And when you are without an opponent, like a football match when you have no opponent, the stadium remains empty. It was also noticed in other municipalities. There was a significant drop in participation. It doesn't bother me. I am happy that for the first time in Vlora we have a female mayor, and that I am enthusiastic about what will happen next. You will also be surprised by what will happen in the municipality of Vlora symbolically. We will be on a journey that is not short but beautiful for Vlora ," said Çuçi./ CNA
