The Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipal Council, Dorian Teliti, invited to the "Now" show with Erla Mëhilli, spoke about the local elections in the capital.

Teliti said that the race for Tirana is open and the first step is the departure of Erion Veliaj.

Further, the vice-chairman of the Council said that the majority has made the decision to dismiss Veliaj, a decision which he called belated.

Teliti also revealed a detail, saying that Velaij's supporters in the Municipality of Tirana have resisted signing the mayor's dismissal.

 

"The race in Tirana is open. The first step is Veliaj's departure. Based on the information I have, the decision to remove Veliaj from the majority has been made. It is a delayed decision, it should have been made long ago. The opposition is in support of its position. The few people Veliaj left were stepping out of line. He had to call them to the office to sign, " said Teliti.
