Today, pensioners have filled the kiosks in the streets of the city, waiting in line for the alms given by the mayor Erion Veliajn.

CNA brings you a picture from a kiosk in the capital where you can see a group of pensioners waiting in line to get a subscription, after the mayor promised that from January 1 public transport for this category will be free.

In fact, for years, Erion Veliaj has been defrauding pensioners for free public transport.

His lies have been so numerous that years ago he promised free transport to pensioners, while in one of his statements on April 19, 2023, he declared in Shkodër that he could not provide free public transport.

"Let's try it, brother, they have a line and they can't do it for free. Because if they prove to us that it works, we'll do it too. As long as people don't lie anymore and as long as people understand that it's not yes, only with work we can do everything", said Veliaj.

After deceiving and trying to deceive citizens about public transport, sometimes by promising that it will be free, sometimes by stealing the theses and schemes of his political opponents, today Erion Veliaj leaves pensioners in line to receive the alms given as an electoral promise./ CNA
